The Perils of Karen-Volumn III

Posted by Lili Porter on July 5, 2016

“This case has everything to do with you, Karen!” Officer Smith yelled at her once he had barged into her hotel room. Didn’t he need some type of search warrant to be able to push his way into someone’s place like this? How did he even know that she was there? “If we find that there’s any negligence on your part and you’re trying to hide evidence… then you’re looking at doing some time, young lady.”

“Excuse me?” Police or not, Officer Smith had no right to come into her hotel room making false accusations. “You have no right to come to my hotel room in the middle of the night speaking to me like this. I’m a woman and I’m sure that they didn’t teach you this at the academy!” Karen grabbed the robe that the hotel provided her with and wrapped it snuggly around her body. She was shaking with anger.

“I’d better see you at the office tomorrow, Karen. There are files on your computer that I need access to and you’re apparently the only one with the code. That boss of yours was no help at all.” Officer Smith said with a deep frown on his face. This entire situation was unbelievable.

“How did you know I was here?” Karen asked. Were the police watching her every move? If so, why did they wait until now to come speak with her? Officer Smith narrowed his eyes to small slits that warned Karen she needed to watch her tone.

“I’m a cop, Karen.” He said in a menacingly low voice. “If I want you, I can find you.” Karen shivered at that. This cop was definitely crooked and her anger quickly turned into fright. She opened her mouth and closed it again because she couldn’t find the words to say to Officer Smith. Officer Smith walked around Karen then and made his way to her door, before giving her the once over, and looking back into her eyes. “I’ll see you tomorrow,” Officer Smith said before opening and closing the door behind him. As soon as Karen couldn’t hear his footsteps any longer, she ran to her bed and fell head first onto it.

“This isn’t fair!” Karen said in a choked voice as sobs came pouring out of her mouth. It was apparent that no amount of happiness would keep her happy long enough while this case was still in progress. Karen sobbed into her pillow until she was finally able to fall asleep.

Karen woke a few hours later, unrested and her heart still ached. She grabbed her phone and looked at the time. 4:36 am. She planned yesterday morning on skipping out on work today as well, but her beautiful evening with Garrett changed her mind. She had to be strong because she realized that no matter what difficulties she would face, Garrett would be there for her. She knew that Garrett had to wake up and be somewhere for work in a few hours, but Karen needed him right now. She needed to hear his voice, to hear him say that everything would be alright. She needed for this night only, to be completely selfish. Despite the time, Karen called Garrett.

“Karen? What’s wrong?!” Garrett asked completely caught off guard at Karen calling him so late. When he left her a few hours ago, her spirits had lifted. What had happened since then? Karen was only calling to speak with Garrett, to hear his voice. When she heard the concern in his voice, every ounce of strength that Karen had left shattered.

            “I need you.”

Garrett wasted no time in getting back to Karen’s hotel room. He didn’t care that he had to meet up with his unit in three hours. The woman who had captured his heart needed him and he went to her. Garrett checked Karen out of her room and went upstairs to get her. When Karen opened the door with bloodshot eyes, he pressed her against his body and gave her a long passionate kiss. Not wasting any time after that sensual moment, Garrett helped Karen gather up her things, and they left. Whatever was bothering Karen, she didn’t want to talk about it. Garrett was dying to know what had happened, but he decided not to push her. They arrived at Garrett’s place and he led Karen to his bedroom. He would have loved to make sweet love to her, but now wasn’t the time. This was the time to be with her emotionally.

Garrett stripped off his clothes until he was just in his boxers and reached his hand out to Karen. Karen blushed but followed suit. She stripped down to her bra and panties and took Garrett’s hand. Side by side they lied in Garrett’s king sized bed and Garrett held Karen with his strong arms. Karen felt protected in his arms and she knew that she was head over heels for this man. She was so close to him that she could feel his warmth all over her. Karen was also close enough to feel his arousal, but he was a gentleman, he did not try to seduce her.

“Thank you,” Karen whispered and in each other’s arms, the two of them fell asleep.

Garrett and Karen woke up a few hours later. After insisting that she was okay, Garrett drove her back to the hotel to get her car.

“Text me when you get to work and call me when you’re done, sweetheart. I want you to talk to me.” Karen nodded her head and kissed Garrett on the lips.

“I will,” Karen said and hustled out of Garrett’s car and got into hers. Garrett told Karen that he’d blow his meeting, but Karen said no. Garrett did more than enough for her already and she didn’t want him to get into any trouble. The way that Garrett held her last night, Karen knew that she couldn’t live her life without him. Things were moving so fast between them, but she knew that he was the one.

Karen quickly went into her place; showered, ate, and got ready for work. She was forty-five minutes late, but hell at least she was there. As Karen walked through the doors, her heart was filled with happiness because of the way that Garrett took care of her. She had wanted Garrett and he had wanted her, but he withheld his raging libido and that only made Karen want him more. The slight smile quickly faded from Karen’s red lips as she neared her cubicle and Officer Smith was leaning back in her chair.

The Perils of Karen-Volumn II

Posted by Lili Porter on June 3, 2016

Karen lay face down on the queen-sized bed in her hotel suite. She decided to take the day off from work and from her life. Everywhere she walked in the office building eyes followed her. It wasn’t the normal nosy people who took an interest in her life; though. These people wore uniforms who handcuffed the bad guys and sometimes the good guys as well. Not only was she getting tired of them questioning her on a day to day basis, but she was getting tired of them thinking they could tell her what to do. If she wasn’t being arrested she could do as she pleased! Karen was getting used to cops hounding her like bloodthirsty wolves, but what Officer Smith said to her yesterday was the last straw.

“Karen,” Officer Smith said once he saw her walk in. She had just had an amazing date with Garrett, but seeing this uniformed man was enough to wipe away her happiness.

“Officer Smith,” Karen responded in a “I wish you’d leave’ voice. The man grinned because he knew that his presence had gotten under her skin.

“I hope that you had a good lunch,” Officer Smith said as Karen brushed passed him and sat down at her cubicle. Karen said nothing as she glared up at the older man. He felt the daggers coming from Karen’s eyes and decided to make things quick.

“I need you to refrain from having lengthy breaks as we do our investigation. We constantly have questions and we don’t have time to wait around for you to come back to your desk.” Karen looked at the Officer like he had lost his mind. She wanted to scream in his face that she’d do whatever the hell she wanted, but this wasn’t the place for that. Police could hound her at work all they waned t to, but they couldn’t decide how long her lunch breaks were and when she could take them.

This was it! Karen wouldn’t allow herself to listen to this crap all day. Just as quickly as she had returned to the office, she decided it was time to go. Her boss was the reason she was in this mess in the first place, so she didn’t bother telling him anything. Karen grabbed her belongings and got up, but that didn’t keep Officer Smith from calling after her.

“I’ve got my eyes on you.”

“This sucks,” Karen mumbled into her pillow. Her life had been turned upside down and it felt as if it was only getting worse as the days passed by. Well… it isn’t all bad, she thought to herself as Garrett’s beautiful face invaded her mind. She thought of that crooked smile that he always gave her and about how his mere presence made her day brighter. Karen took the day off and booked a hotel room at the last minute, so she never called the Special Ops Specialist to let him know.

“I’ll give him a call,” she said and sat up in bed. It wasn’t like she needed to inform the man of her every move, but for some reason she just had to call Garrett and let him know where she was. It was no big deal; it wasn’t like he was keeping tabs on her. Garrett answered on the second ring and his deep baritone sent chills up and down Karen’s spine.

“Well, I haven’t heard from you all day, beautiful. How was work?” Garrett’s smooth voice soothed Karen’s tattered soul and she couldn’t help but smile.

“I didn’t go to work today,” Karen paused and then continued. “I needed some more time to myself. I’m tired of those cops circling around me like vultures.”

“Why didn’t you call me? I would have kept you company today.”

Karen bit her bottom lip then. She could tell that Garrett was a bit angry with her. She knew that she didn’t need to give him her agenda on a daily basis, but she couldn’t help but feel sorry for not letting him know.

“Sorry, I wasn’t thinking. I’m not home anyway, though. I checked into a hotel to kind of… get away from everything.”

Garrett knew that Karen was constantly getting questioned by cops for something that wasn’t even her fault. Garrett also knew that the police’s continuous monitoring of Karen made her feel violated. I need to do something about that, Garrett thought before responding.

“I’m sorry that you’re feeling like you need to get away from the world. What hotel are you staying at?”  Garrett was going to do everything in his power to help Karen in her moment of need. It pissed him off that the police were causing her so much stress, and felt that it was up to him to help brighten her day. Karen paused before telling him.

“I’m at the Marriott.”

“What room?” Garrett pressed further, causing Karen to hesitate again. She knew where he was heading with his questions.
“Room thirteen,” she said breathlessly, as her heart started to beat harder. Get your mind out of the gutter, Karen thought as she placed her hand on her chest. The motion didn’t soothe the erratic organ, though.

“See you soon, beautiful.” Garrett didn’t wait for her to decline or accept his self-invitation before he ended the call.

“Damn!” Karen said jumping out of bed. She wasn’t planning on seeing Garrett today. It was a most appreciated surprise, but she wasn’t at all ready. The only thing that she brought with her, as far as clothes were concerned, was a t-shirt and jogging pants. She wasn’t planning on dressing up just to be in a hotel room all day.

“At least I have some time to shower.”

Without a second thought, she made a bee-line to the bathroom. She couldn’t do anything about her lack of clothes, but she could at least do something about the way she smelled.

Later, when Karen opened her hotel room door, her breath caught in her throat. In front of her stood the gorgeous Garrett with that familiar sexy grin plastered on his face.

“Looks like we’re matching today, sweetheart. You’re still as gorgeous as ever.” Garrett’s body screamed confidence as he smoothly walked into the room. No man had ever made Karen swoon the way that Garrett did.

“I guess so,” Karen said as she looked over Garrett’s muscular frame. He was wearing a t-shirt and jogging pants as well, and the t-shirt hugged his stomach in a way that showed his defined chest and abs. Karen blushed when she looked into Garrett’s eyes and saw him staring directly at her. He knew what she was thinking, but Garrett was enough of a gentleman to not tease her about it. When she closed the door, it was then that she noticed Garrett had a few bags in his hands. He grinned at her.

“Hope you don’t mind Chinese, wine, and some cards?”

Karen did something that she felt she wouldn’t be able to do for a long time, she grinned back at him.

The two of them ate the Chinese food, drank all the whole bottle of wine, and Karen got her ass handed to her each time in cards.

“C’mon now! I can’t believe you’re this terrible.” Garrett roared and Karen pouted.

“It’s the wine messing with my judgement!” Karen countered and got up from her spot in the middle of the bed with her hands on her hips. She was buzzed, but that was no excuse for her losing at cards like that. Garrett was obviously cheating. He smiled a sly smile at her, it was apparent that she had cheered up. He looked at his watch then and frowned.

“Sweetheart, I hate to do this to you, but I’ve got to get up early tomorrow.”

Karen’s face fell flat when she heard that. She hadn’t realized how much fun she was having until it was time for Garrett to go. “Unless… you want me to stay?” He wiggled his eyebrows up and down. She smiled at that knowing that she’d be in trouble if she took him up on that offer.

“Nope, I need to wake up early too. I’ve got work.”

“Damn,” Garrett said feigning disappointment. He was joking about spending the night, but if Karen would have agreed, he would have called his unit and told them he was going to be late. He stood up then, grabbing the empty containers and throwing them into the trash at the foot of Karen’s bed. “I hope you’re feeling a little better,” Garrett whispered as he moved in closer to her.

“Very much so,” Karen murmured just before Garrett’s lips crushed into hers. She was vaguely aware of the room spinning around them as they kissed. Either she had had more to drink than she thought, or she really needed to feel Garrett’s warmth. It felt like they were in each other’s embrace for a long time before they parted.

“Good night,” Garrett said as they pulled apart.

“Good night,” Karen whispered breathlessly. Soon after, he was gone.

Garrett’s small act of kindness made Karen’s night. Who would have thought something as simple as eating Chinese food and drinking wine would make such a difference in her mood?

“What are you doing to me?” she asked herself as she pictured Garrett in her mind. Not only was he drop dead gorgeous, he was thoughtful, too. Smiling, she turned on the TV, hoping to keep the momentum going further with one of her favorite shows before she went to bed. She wasn’t looking at her program for too long before thunderous bangs on the door caused her to almost leap out of her skin. Angrily Karen got up and made her way to the door about to give whatever moron was bagging on her door a piece of her mind. Karen swung the door open with so much force that she was sure that the door would fall off of its hinges.

“What the…” Karen gasped in horror as she saw Officer Smith standing outside of her door with his hand just above his gun on his hip. Officer Smith’s piercing eyes were powerful enough to make even the strongest men shiver in fear.

“Karen… we need to talk, now!” Officer Smith stormed into Karen’s room and slammed the door hard behind him.

The Perils of Karen- Volume 1

Karen sat at her desk tapping her perfectly manicured fingernails on her keyboard, but her mind wasn’t on her work. How could she focus on her work when she had so many things going on inside of her head?

“I just want to go home,” Karen whispered under her breath. Almost with impeccable and unfortunate timing, her boss placed even more paperwork on her desk.

“I need you to go through these as well. Thanks,” he didn’t wait for her response, he didn’t even wait for Karen to acknowledge him. The older man had already turned on his heels and made his way back to his office.

“Damn it!” Karen snarled with venom dripping from her juicy red lips. Apparently she was louder than she expected because she noticed several heads turning towards her. She didn’t care though, they knew the situation that she was in so if they were in her shoes they’d be feeling the exact same way as her.

Buzz! Karen jumped a little when her cellphone started vibrating on her desk, but she didn’t waste any time picking up the phone. Even though her day wasn’t going the way that she wanted, she smiled when she saw that she had received a text from Garrett.
Tell your boss that you’re going on your lunchbreak and meet me downstairs, the text message read and Karen’s eyes went wide. She really wasn’t expecting to see Garrett today and she definitely wasn’t expecting him to come to her job! After Karen’s initial shock, she finally moved her fingers over her mouse and clicked out of her word document. Karen then proceeded to collect her purse as she watched her computer screen turn black. She wondered what Garrett was doing there.

“I’m taking my lunch now,” Karen said to her boss and just as he did, she left before he had enough time to respond to her. As she made her way to the elevator, Karen realized that she was actually nervous. She barely knew the man for a week and he was already giving her goosebumps. When she got to the lobby of her office building, she saw the football player turned special ops specialist standing in the lobby with what appeared to be a picnic basket.

“Ga… Garrett,” Karen stuttered as she walked over to that beautiful Adonis of a man.

“Good afternoon Karen,” his baritone voice drawled. “You look absolutely breathtaking.” Karen averted her eyes from Garrett as she blushed.

“You’re looking good too. So what’s wrong? Why did you come up to my job out of the blue? On another note, how did you even know where I worked?” Karen definitely told Garrett that she was a Social Worker, but she knew for a fact that she never told him where she worked.
“I took a wild guess and look,” Garrett grinned from ear to ear. “I was right. Now come on, I’m sure you have a thirty minute lunchbreak, so let’s go to the park around the corner and eat lunch together.” Before Karen could object, even though she knew that she wasn’t going to, Garrett grabbed her hand and led her out of the building. The walk to the park was like a dream. The two had idle chit-chat and Garrett made Karen feel at ease.

“Wow,” Karen said as she watched Garrett lay the blanket over the deep green grass and grabbed plates, silverware, and cups from their respected bags. “This all feels too unreal.” Garrett gave Karen his signature smile and prepared both of their plates with sandwiches and filled both of their cups with Dr. Pepper.

“Don’t think that I’m that amazing, I didn’t make these sandwiches.” Karen laughed at this and sat on the ground near Garrett. He stared into her eyes and she stared into his as they ate their meal together. Karen felt butterflies in the pit of her stomach as she and Garrett spoke to each other almost as if they’d know each other for years rather than a few days. Karen felt good around him and Garrett felt his absolute best whenever he was near Karen. Being this close to Karen made him forget about his own problems.

“You’re beautiful,” Karen said softly and averted her eyes from Garrett’s. She honestly wasn’t trying to say that out loud, but she couldn’t help that her thoughts formed into words. Garrett smiled softly at her and decided to be bold. Garrett leaned in closer to Karen and captured her lips in his. Karen was shocked by how sudden this was, but she wrapped her arms around Garrett’s neck and offered him more of her lips. He tastes so good, Karen thought to herself. Garrett didn’t taste like the pickles, turkey meat, and mayonnaise that he had just consumed. He tasted minty and sweet. When they finally pulled away from each other, they stared into each other’s eyes again without saying anything.

“It’s time for us to wrap up,” Garrett whispered almost like he didn’t want those words to escape from his lips.

“Yeah,” Karen said more than a little disappointed. The two of them cleaned off the blanket and placed everything back into the containers. After that chore was done, they walked hand in hand back to Karen’s job. The feeling of Garrett’s strong hand in hers sent shivers down her spine and she knew then that this man had her heart captured. He was just what she needed to help calm her down this stressful day.

“I’ll call you tonight,” Garret said and kissed her on the cheek softly.

“I look forward to it,” Karen said breathlessly and made her way towards the elevators. When the elevator door finally closed, she couldn’t help the broad grin that spread across her face. Those thirty minutes was the highlight of her whole day and even though she had to go back to her stressful job, that encounter was worth it. When she stepped out of the elevator and its doors closed, her happy smile immediately changed into a frown. She couldn’t believe who she saw for the fourth time that week as she walked closer to the two armed officers standing by her cubicle.

Christmas in Manhattan
Posted on December 24, 2015 by Lili Porter

Stepping my freshly pedicured feet into my red bottom high-heel shoes and quickly glancing into the mirror to check myself out, I whisper,“Gorgeous”.  I am so excited! Today is the day that my life will change for the better because I knew that my boyfriend of five years was popping the question to me tonight. He’d been dropping hints for weeks now and I’m not above admitting that I saw the receipt for the ring in his pocket when I was washing his clothes. Jeffery had told me earlier today that he’d be heading over after he gets off of work and I couldn’t help the wide grin that had spread across my dimpled cheeks.

“About time,” I said aloud, laughing to myself while grabbing my make-up out of the cabinet. I couldn’t help but to think that I’m going over the top with my get up. I knew that I wasn’t supposed to know, it was to be a surprise after all, but I wanted to be prepared for the occasion. I cooked all of Jeffery’s favorite foods and I even cracked open that expensive wine my father gave me a few years back. He’d know right away that I know of his plans, but I will still act surprised. Jumping a little at the sound of my ringing phone, leaning down, I quickly answered it.

“Hey baby,” I said smiling. Jeffery was silent for a few moments before responding.

“Hey, I’ll be there in a few minutes.” I could hear the nervousness in his voice and that made me giddy with anticipation.

“See you soon, honey.” It was hard to keep my excitement from oozing from my words, but I couldn’t help it. I was minutes away from being engaged. Running into the kitchen quickly, I fixed Jeffery’s plate and poured two glasses of wine. My black straps from my sexy black and red dress kept falling off my shoulders and I began contemplating if I should greet him at the door naked. “That can wait till later,” I thought. Walking into the living room and looking out of the window of my Manhattan apartment for the umpteenth time, I began feeling butterflies in my stomach. My anticipation didn’t last long because a few short minutes later Jeffery was walking up the porch and knocking on the door.

“Took you long enough,” I said smiling sweetly at him as his eyes widened in surprise. I knew that I looked good and I was happy that he thought so as well. Averting his eyes quickly, he stepped around me allowing me to close the door.

“There’s something very important I want to say.” I could tell that Jeffery was tired, after all he did have to work on Christmas Eve, but as much as I wanted my proposal, I needed to feed the beautiful man first.

“Shhh…” I said placing a delicate and slender finger over his lips and taking his arm with my free hand. Pulling him to the kitchen, I sat him down and maneuvered to get his glass of wine and plate in the candlelit kitchen. Making sure that he got a good look at my voluptuous body and ample breasts, I bent over him smiling sweetly again and began placing small kisses along his forehead.

            “Rochelle…”

“I’ve made all of your favorite dishes as you can see. I wanted to do this on Christmas day for you, but I couldn’t wait,” I said cutting him off. He was  growing agitated, I could see, but I wanted to give him a small surprise before he proposed. It was nowhere as major as his treat, but it was as good as it was going to get for him this day. “I love you so much, Jeffery.” Looking at me intently he started sighing.

“You shouldn’t have done this for me,” He started again and my grin only widened. I’ll have to apologize to him later for stealing this moment from him.

“Couples do things like this all the time. Relax and enjoy your food sweet…”

“I’m in love.” Jeffery said quickly and I blinked confused.

“I know. I’m in love with you too.”

“No, Rochelle,” sighing again he looked away from my face. “I fell in love with someone else and I’m going to marry her.” My mouth dropped opened so quickly, my heart began clenching, and the dam holding my tears back felt as if it would burst.

“What?!” I asked surprised. I couldn’t believe what Jeffery was saying to me. Where was all of this coming from? I thought we were happy, in love, when did that change? “Why are you doing this, Jeffery?” I want answers! Five years! Five years of me being with this man and he’s telling me that he’s marrying someone else? And for all the days for him to tell me, he chose Christmas time. Getting up quickly, he pushed his chair back and started walking towards the living room.

“I’m sorry, but I just don’t love you anymore.” He said without remorse.

“Jeffery!” I said screaming out at the top of my lungs, but he refused to turn around and acknowledge me. Refusing to give me any answers he walked quickly to his car and sped off. Standing there in the door way wearing my sexy black and red dress with knock-out heels. Standing there in the door way with my mascara running down my made-up face. Standing there in the door way with the lights of the beautiful Christmas tree that Jeffery bought for me, I stood there frozen and dark with a broken Christmas heart.

Memories

Posted on November 16, 2015 by Lili Porter

Pain outlined her soft features as she faced the beautiful body of water that made up the popular beach that they’d loved so much. It was dusk and there weren’t any people at the beach so she figured that she’d have some privacy. She wanted to go to the place where she and her husband went every Saturday which was sort of a tradition for them.

“Not anymore.” She said sadly as a lone tear ran down her rosy cheek. She found out the other day that her husband was killed in the line of duty in Afghanistan, and she knew that her life as she once knew it was over. She came to the beach because she thought if she lied down on the ground and closed her eyes, when she opened them again he’d be there. She was hoping that everything that happened was just a dream, but when she closed her eyes and opened them, she was still all alone.

“Please.” She whispered as she willed herself to think that her current reality was nothing more than a terrible nightmare. She closed her eyes again and this time she heard laughter. She smiled as she heard a voice similar to hers laughing in glee and she jumped when she heard a deep baritone voice similar to her late husband’s. Her eyes snapped opened then but instead of being the lone individual on the beach, there was a man and woman walking near the blue-green water.

“Stop it!” the woman laughed as her companion crouched down and splashed water into her face. The woman wrapped her arms around the man and she giggled again when he began spinning her around. She watched the couple with a familiar pain piercing her heart, but she couldn’t help but to smile. The young lovers acted so much like she and her husband. The way the couple’s eyes burned into each other’s was the same fire that she had when she looked into her husband’s eyes.

“I love you.” The man said as he stopped twirling her around and his apparent love for her was radiating from his body.
“I love you too.” She heard the woman say to the man before their mouths met in a long and seductive kiss. She felt awkward gawking at the couple when they were sharing a beautiful moment together, but she couldn’t help it. They reminded her of the love between her and her husband. Watching them was like replaying special moments in her marriage.
“You want to stay here a little bit longer, or go home?” the man asked the woman and she wrapped her arms around his muscular arm.

“Let’s go home. I can think of some better things we can be doing right now.” The woman said and a devilish grin appeared on her face. The man flashed a wicked smile at the woman and they quickly walked away oblivious to her presence. She watched them disappear down the beach’s shore and her mind went back to the last time she and her husband had been there.

“You look good in your bikini.” He said to her as she spread out a towel so that she can sit down.

“You look good in swim trunks.” She smiled up at him and touched his muscular leg. The sun was setting and there was nobody else on the beach so they thought it was a good time to come and relax until nighttime. They loved to look out at the water when the sun was setting, well at least she loved looking out at the water. He could have cared less where they were at as long as they were together. “I’m going to miss you when you leave.” She said to him and he sat down next to her.

“I know, I’ll miss you too.” He said and pushed a stray hair out of her face. It’ll probably be winter by the time he came back temporarily from Afghanistan, so they probably wouldn’t be able go to the beach that much. “But look at it like this…” he said and grinned at her. “When you’re feeling lonely just come to the beach, close your eyes, and I’ll be right here with you.” She looked at him and watched the sun’s light disappear down his face. “Picture me the way that I am right now and you won’t be lonely.”

Remembering his words brought a small smile to her face and she closed her eyes and he was there beside her. She could feel his warm finger tips rubbing down her arm and she could smell the scent of his cologne. At that moment, she felt grateful to the couple that reminded her so much of her and her husband. If it wasn’t for them showing up at the beach when she wanted to be alone, she probably wouldn’t have saw him. She lied there with her eyes closed and she remembered all of the beautiful times that she spent with him. He might have been gone physically, but he wasn’t gone from her memories. She knew that whenever she was feeling lonely, she could go down to that beach and he’d be waiting for her as soon as she closed her eyes.

                                                   Our Life Together
Posted by Lili Porter on October 14, 2015

Sometimes I didn’t want to go out on a Saturday evening while everyone else was having their date nights. I’d rather sit close to him on our worn out sofa and watch cheesy romantic movies. He always grumbled about watching my chick flics, but he always watched them by my side. I smiled when a particularly clichéd scene came on with lovers confessing their feelings for each other. He sighed irritably but he wrapped his strong arm around me. He always loved doing that when we were close to each other. I could smell my favorite cologne that he wore to drive me crazy and I looked up at him. His hazel eyes twinkled as the colors on the screen danced in his eyes.

He caught me looking then and held my gaze. In his eyes I saw our future. We’d have a big house with a white picket fence. He’d buy us a minivan so that we’d have enough room for groceries and the kids. He told me already that he wanted three kids, two boys and a girl. I don’t think that I’ll be able to survive with two boys, but we’ll see when that time comes.

“What? Are you tired of the movie?” I shook my head no. I could never be tired of a movie when he was by my side. How could he think something so silly?

“I just wanted to look at you.” I said with a shy grin. His eyes widened a little, but then they were replaced by a softer look. A look that told me that he wanted me the same way that I wanted him. He leaned down and captured my lips in his and I could still make out the strawberry banana shake on his tongue. “Mm…” I moaned as he held my face in his hands. His kiss was sweet and his touch was gentle. The longer we kissed, the more I prayed for our relationship to last. He is everything to me; my rock, my superhero, and I know that I’m his everything as well. I moved my hands to touch his exposed golden arms and he deepened the kiss. The movie played loudly in our ears, but the sound of my own beating heart was louder.

“You’re going to miss the movie.” He mumbled against my lips without taking his away from mine.

“I don’t care.” I said in response. When we finally parted, we gasped for air. “Wow.” I said amazed by the sensual kiss that we just had. He just smiled at me and turned back towards the TV. The smile never left his face and I could tell that he was still thinking about our kiss even though your eyes were fastened to the screen. It wasn’t like we never kissed, on the contrary, we kissed often but I felt something in that kiss that I’ve never felt before. It was almost as if he was falling deeper in love with me just as I was with hm. He got up then and looked down at me.

“I’ll be right back. I need to use the bathroom.” He left then and my breathing slowed down enough for me to focus on the movie. I could still feel his warmth on my lips and on my arm. I sat there for several minutes enjoying the sensations that he gave me when I realized that he’d been gone too long. I stood up then, deciding to hunt him down.

“Ah!” I gasped as I almost tripped over his kneeling frame. I looked down at him, confused, and I noticed why he was kneeling.

“Veronica Monique Page,” he began. “I’ve loved you for almost five years now. You are my best friend, my lover, and you are truly an amazing woman.” I covered my mouth with my hands as tears began forming in my eyes. “Will you marry me?” I couldn’t speak as the tears ran down my face and dripped onto the floor. I could only muster a fast and hard nod. He grinned then and picked me up into his arms and spun me around. Our hearts were one at that moment and I couldn’t stop the girly giggles that escaped my lips. I felt complete as he nestled me in his arms. I also felt loved. I was glad that we chose this Saturday night to stay in the house because I couldn’t wait to rub my hands all over my soon to be husband.

The Perils of Karen- Volume 1

Posted on May 5, 2016 by Lili Porter

Lights of The Eiffel Tower

Posted by Lili Porter on September 4, 2015

France during Christmas time was the place to be when they decided to light the Eifel tower. I was here with a beautiful man who decided to bring us to Paris for our one year anniversary. Even though it had only been a year, I was deeply in love with this man. I’m not interested in the things that he does for me, not at all. I am interested in the things he does to me. He makes me feel giddy when he looks at me; he makes me blush when he kisses me. I feel desire when he holds me and I feel ecstasy when he loves me.
“What are you thinking about?” he asked me as he held my slender hand inside of the taxi as we made our way to the Eifel Tower. I turned towards him and grinned.“You,” I said with a slight blush forming on my cheeks. “You’re really amazing for doing this for me, for us. You know that right?” the proud smile that spread across his face made my heart skip a beat. The man knew what he was doing to me; he knew that he was pressing all of the right buttons.
“Well, I had to do something special to celebrate the day you decided to be mine.” I remembered that day like it was yesterday. We grew up together, lived in the same city and went to the same schools. I didn’t think much about him then because he really wasn’t my type, but we hung out together sometimes. It was good to see him in class when I knew nobody else. I remembered leaving home and going to college and when I came back and saw him; damn I was swept off of my feet. The dorky boy I grew up with had blossomed into a gorgeous man. He asked me out and I immediately accepted and the rest is history.
“I hope this trip isn’t too expensive. You should at least let me pay for the food.”  He made an irritated expression then and I almost wished that I didn’t suggest that.
“This is my gift to you, so why would I make you pay?” he had a point; it wouldn’t be much of a present if I had to pay for my own expenses. I smiled at him again.
“You’re right. I’m sorry.” He had a pretty good business so I knew that he could afford it. I wouldn’t let the thought of him spending too much money disturb me any longer. We sat in the back of the cab in silence, hand in hand, admiring the scenery. When we pulled up across the street from the Eifel Tower, my mouth flew open. It was absolutely stunning! The lights weren’t on yet because it wasn’t dark enough, but the way that it looked at that moment, I knew it was going to be breathtaking.
“Wow, it’s amazing.” He said as he helped me out of the taxi. He tipped the driver and the man went on his merry little way. There weren’t a lot of people there which surprised me, who would want to miss out on the lighting of the Eifel Tower? I shook my head; well at least we’d be alone. “It’ll probably be lit in a little while, you want to sit on the bench and wait?” I nodded my head and he led the way to the bench. We sat on the bench, still holding each other’s hands talking about anything that ran through our heads. We laughed, hugged and kissed; that moment had to be one of the best I’ve ever had. Time seemed to just fly by us and stop at the same time. I didn’t want this moment to end.
“Oh my god,” I exclaimed as lights shot up the tower. We stood up and faced the tower; it was one of the most beautiful sights that I ever had the pleasure of seeing. The lights were red and green making the tower resemble a Christmas tree. His hands tightened around mine, I knew that he was feeling the same warm sensations that I was feeling.
“It’s beautiful just like you,” he whispered and I looked towards him with a smile on my face. His side profile looked peaceful and inviting, I couldn’t resist him. I placed my hand on the side of his face and made him face me. His eyes looked at me with desire and I stood on my tip toes and pressed my lips to his. Our tongues intertwined with each other and he put his hands in my hair to push me deeper into the kiss. When our mouths parted, we looked at each other with need. “Marry me,” he said all of a sudden. I felt a feeling of anxiety, shock, and lust. The way we felt about each other, though still early in our relationship, I could only give him one answer.
“Yes.” Then he pressed me against his body again and kissed me under the red and green lights of the Eifel Tower.

Before We Wed

Posted by Lili Porter on August 7, 2015

We kissed as the elevator climbed to the 12th floor of the hotel. It was the night before our wedding and I really felt that we should have saved this trip for the honeymoon, but he couldn’t wait that long. When the elevator stopped on our floor, he refused to break the kiss. We stumbled quite clumsily down the hallway before we finally broke the kiss so that we could find the right door. We found room 1201 without any problems; he opened the door and pulled me in. He took me into one of his burning kisses again, but this time I hesitated.
“Wait,” I said pushing softly against his chest.
“I can’t wait any longer,” his baritone voice said out of breath. I sighed when he moved his hands around my thin frame caressing the small of my back. I shivered with pleasure, but I pushed against his chest again.
“We shouldn’t do this,” I said as I moved my mouth away from his hungry one. He didn’t look too pleased with me. His forehead creased into fine wrinkles in slight agitation.
“Why not?” I couldn’t answer him right then; I was lost in deep thought on how attractive he was. His chocolate skin was oily, probably because of the summer heat. He glistened with sweat, but I could still make out the smell of his cologne. His chest moved up and down with his every breath and his dark brown eyes burned right into my hazel ones.
“Let’s wait until our honeymoon,” I said stepping away from him. I knew that if I let him kiss me again, I’d lose all of my resolve. I walked over to the bed and sat down. We had just come back from our wedding rehearsal and it was apparent that he was turned on just from the sight of me. I wore a simple blue summer dress with just enough cleavage showing. My dark brown hair hung down a little above my ebony shoulders. I kept my make-up simple because I wanted to look my complete best tomorrow. All night, he kept finding a way to touch me. When I was walking towards the bathroom, he held my hand trying to make sure I made it there and back. Whenever he stood near me, he’d casually brush an invisible strand of hair away from my face. He constantly gave me quick chaste kisses, but his eyes gave him away. His eyes were full of lust and thankfully I was the only one who noticed his sensual glances.
“We’ve had sex before sweetheart. What’s the difference now?” I smiled at him; he could be completely clueless sometimes.
“If we wait, the pleasure would be that much better.” I laughed when he rolled his eyes.
“The pleasure would be equally as good if we do it now.” He could be so adorable when he was scowling. I walked back over to him and wrapped my arms around his neck. I needed him to understand that it was important to me that we wait. I kissed his lips gently and then I looked him in the eyes with a gentle smile.
“Please understand that I want to wait until after the wedding.” He watched me intently. “I want to make love again when we’re Mr. and Mrs. Johnson.” His eyes widened when I said Mrs. Johnson. I smiled inwardly because I knew that I’d won. After what seemed like an eternity, he leaned towards me and gave me a quick kiss.
“Mrs. Johnson?” He let the words roll around his tongue.
“Mrs. Johnson.” I whispered in response. I felt his shoulders hang lower and the look on his face was a look that acknowledged his defeat.
“You always know what to say to convince me to do something.” He shook his head. “You have me wrapped around your little finger.” I smiled and looked down at the diamond ring located on my ring finger. He did a good job picking out this ring for me. Having the courage to go to the jewelry store by himself and pick out this rock, I definitely had him tightly wrapped around my finger. I backed away from him again before he got too comfortable.
“I’m going to go take a shower.” I slowly walked away from him, switching my hips from side to side. When I got to the bathroom door, I turned my head to look back at him, and saw that he was still watching me. I smiled, turned around and pulled my straps down so that my dress could fall onto the ground revealing that I wore nothing underneath it. Before I closed the door, I could barely hear him say, “You’re killing me.” With a private grin forming on my face, I knew that tomorrow night would be a night to remember.

A First Date

Posted on July 3, 2015 by Lili Porter

He took me to dinner and a movie that night. He was so beautiful in his white button down shirt and black slacks. He dressed up for the occasion, so I didn't feel bad about my clothing selection. I wore my little red dress with the slit coming up my hip and my black pumps that I had to tie up my leg. Everyone told me they flattered my legs nicely. My arms were exposed and I allowed a little glimpse of my ebony breasts to show. He looked at me with hunger, but he didn't say the words that I knew he wanted to say.

"You look amazing," he said in that cool baritone voice. When he held my hand as we walked to his car, I couldn't help but have butterflies in my stomach. He was the type of man that no longer existed in this world. It's funny how God worked; he made this man just for me. I could feel the excitement rush over my entire body before its warmth decided to rest in between my legs. He opened the door for me. "After you," he said still holding my hand, guiding me gently into his car. He was like a prince that I once read about when I was a little girl. I almost did not believe that this was real.

"Thank you." I said, blushing slightly. I was glad that it was dark. I didn't want him to see the dumb expression that I had plastered on my face. He smiled a smile that made my womb clench.

"The pleasure is mine." We drove through the night having a conversation that I no longer remember. I remembered that we laughed though and I remembered his charm. I could still smell the cologne that he wore. I wondered what it was called. When we made it to the theater, he told me to hold tight. I didn't know what he was doing, but I sat in the car like I was told. He jumped out of the car and rushed to my side. He opened the door for me. The notion was so simple, but I swear I think I fell deeper for him at that moment. It was cool that night to be the end of August. I should have brought a jacket. "Are you cold?" he asked me gently, as if reading my mind. Before I could answer, he took off his jacket and wrapped it around my slender body.

"You're so kind," I said, glad that I was protected by the wind. A few stray hairs that managed to escape from my bun flew wildly in the air. He said nothing, but I could see his white teeth glistening in the night. He ordered our tickets and our refreshments and then we made our way to our seats in the movie. I couldn't tell you what we saw. It was some movie with Leonardo DiCaprio. I couldn't tell you anything about the movie. Not that it was bad, but his presence overwhelmed me. He rested his large hand on my thigh and stroked it throughout the movie. What woman in her mid-twenties could resist the touch of an irresistible man? He knew what he was doing to me. He knew how much I ached, but he didn't do anything more than rub me. He didn't touch anywhere close to my "love". He was respectful. He gave me a little taste of how he could drive me crazy, but he didn't give me the full meal. I was dying.

"That was a great movie," he said, wrapping his arm around me after we exited the theater.

"Yes, it really was,” I lied. I looked at the movie, but I didn't watch it. My attention was drawn to his warm hand. I looked up his 6'4 frame to his eyes and smiled.

"I hope you're hungry," he said, opening the door for me. I was hungry, but not for food.

Dinner was great. He ordered for both of us. We ate a juicy well done steak, baked potatoes and green beans. We washed it down with the finest wine. We never took our eyes off of each other. We talked about our plans for the future, our goals and aspirations. We enjoyed each other's company and our chemistry was undeniable. He drove me home well fed and hot and bothered. When we got to my house, he didn't ask could he join me. He walked me to the door, but made no move to enter.

"I had an amazing time," I said to him, knowing that we weren't going to have a night cap.

"So did I," his smooth voice said softly. We looked at each other for a long while and I began to feel awkward. Just when I opened my mouth to speak, he planted his on to mine. He kissed me long and hard, our tongues intertwining with each other's and our breaths ragged. The kiss was sweet, sensual and loving. When we broke away from each other, he smiled.

"Good night," he said, and turned around to walk back to his car. I stood there dazed and hot. Never before had I experienced a kiss like that. For those moments it was like our souls were one. He didn't pull off right away; he waited for me to make it safely through the door. Once I did, I could hear him driving away. I leaned my back to the door and exhaled a breath I did not know I was holding.

I couldn't wait to see that beautiful man again.
